UNIVIS 40 Hydraulic Fluid is also known as Rheinol HVLP 46 and is a mineral oil-based hydraulic fluid. It is commonly used in hydraulic systems, such as those found in the automotive industry, and is designed to provide increased lubricity, corrosion protection, and thermal stability.
When rubber is exposed to UNIVIS 40 Hydraulic Fluid, some of the more common failure types can include swelling and softening of the rubber material. Additionally, rubber exposed to this fluid can become brittle over time and have a decreased resistance to tearing. This can result in a weakened seal and lead to potential failure of the rubber material.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
