UCON Lubricant LB0285 is also known as Polyalkylene Glycol (PAG) and is a synthetic lubricant used for a variety of industrial applications. It is commonly used in metalworking and metal forming operations, as well as for lubricating rubber and plastic parts.
Rubber failure when exposed to UCON Lubricant LB0285 is typically caused by swelling and embrittlement of the rubber material from exposure to the lubricant. This can lead to cracking, chalking, and discoloration of the rubber, as well as reduced flexibility and elasticity. In extreme cases, the rubber may become brittle and crack, potentially leading to complete failure of the rubber part.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
