UCON Lubricant 500HB05100 (also known as Polyalkylene Glycol) is a synthetic lubricant used in a variety of industries including automotive, aviation, and marine. This chemical is commonly used to reduce friction and wear between moving parts, reduce noise and vibration, and protect surfaces from corrosion and rust.
When rubber is exposed to UCON Lubricant 500HB05100 there is a risk of accelerated ageing and hardening of the material. This can lead to cracks, tears, and brittleness in the rubber, which can ultimately cause a failure in the material. Additionally, rubber may be degraded and swell when exposed to this chemical, resulting in a loss of strength and sealing capability.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
