TIDEWATER MULTIGEAR, 140 EP LUBE Resistant O-Rings and Seals
Tidewater Multigear 140 EP Lube is a synthetic gear lubricant that is used in a variety of applications. It is used in industrial and commercial machines such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, and paper machines. It is also used in food processing and beverage production machinery.
When exposed to Tidewater Multigear 140 EP Lube, rubber materials such as neoprene, butyl, EPDM, and natural rubber can be subject to swelling, shrinkage, and cracking. The lubricant can also soften the rubber, leading to a loss of the material's strength and elasticity. This can cause the rubber to become brittle and lead to premature failure. Additionally, the lubricant can cause oxidation, leading to a decrease in the rubber's lifetime and physical properties.
