TEXAMATIC A 3528 Fluid is also known as Di-t-butyl Maleate (DtBM), and is used as an additive in a variety of industries, such as plastics, lubricants, and rubber. Common uses include plasticizers, lubricants, and viscosity modifiers. Common types of failures when rubber is exposed to TEXAMATIC A 3528 Fluid include swelling of the rubber component, cracking, discoloration, and disintegration of the rubber material. Additionally, prolonged exposure to high concentrations of DtBM can cause embrittlement of the rubber, resulting in brittle failure.
