Texaco Meropa 220, No Lead is a synthetic oil used in a wide variety of industrial applications. It is a blend of hydrocarbons, synthetic hydrocarbons and other additives which provide superior protection and performance. Common uses of this oil include lubrication of industrial machinery and components, gear lubrication, hydraulic fluid, and many other industrial applications.
When rubber is exposed to Texaco Meropa 220, No Lead, the rubber can break down, become brittle, swell, and/or crack. This breakdown can be especially damaging when the rubber is used in seals, gaskets, hoses, and other components that must remain intact and withstand high temperatures. Other common failures from exposure to this oil include discoloration, loss of elasticity, and hardening of the rubber.
