Tanning Extract, also known as Mixture of Sulfonated Oils, is a mixture of sulfonated oils used in the leather tanning process. It is commonly used to soften and preserve leather, allowing it to be more pliable and durable.
When exposed to Tanning Extract, rubber materials can experience a decrease in elasticity and strength, leading to stretching, cracking, and hardening of the rubber. Additionally, Tanning Extract may cause discoloration of the rubber and can lead to reduced surface adhesion. In extreme cases, Tanning Extract can cause complete disintegration of rubber materials.
