SHELL LO HYDRAX 27 AND 29 Resistant O-Rings and Seals
Shell LO HYDRAX 27 and 29 are common names for the chemical Irus 905. This chemical is commonly used in the automotive and industrial sectors for engine lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and metalworking fluids.
When rubber is exposed to Irus 905, it can cause swelling, cracking, and hardening of the rubber due to oxidation. These effects can result in poor seal performance, reduced seal life, and potential leakage. Additionally, depending on the type of rubber, exposure to Irus 905 can also cause discolouration, cracking, and loss of elasticity.
