PRS03000, also known as Methylene Chloride, is a common chemical used in a variety of industries. It is a colorless, volatile liquid that is used as a solvent in the paint and coatings industry, in aerosol propellants, and in the production of pharmaceuticals and pesticides.
When rubber is exposed to Methylene Chloride, it can cause swelling, embrittlement, cracking and distortion. In addition, the chemical can cause rubber to become discolored, brittle and hardened, leading to a decrease in flexibility and an increase in brittleness. Oxidation and discoloration of the rubber can also occur, resulting in a decrease in physical and mechanical properties.
