Propanoic acid nitrile, also known as acrylonitrile, is a colorless and flammable liquid typically used in the production of plastics and synthetic rubber. Common uses for acrylonitrile include the manufacture of fibers, adhesives, explosives, and rubber products.
When rubber is exposed to acrylonitrile, it can cause the rubber to become brittle and prone to cracking. Additionally, the rubber can become discolored due to the chemical's corrosive properties. In extreme cases, the rubber may even be completely destroyed, leading to premature failure of the material.
Markez ® high performance perfluoroelastomer O-Rings (FFKM) offer unmatched value for demanding sealing applications. Produced from nearly identical ingredients as higher priced brands, Markez ® compounds are used for high temperature o-rings and high pressure o-rings and chemical resistant o-rings that deliver similar performance to major FFKM brands, with temperature resistance up to 625oF, at a significantly lower cost. Our proprietary processing allow us to supply seals under an inch in size more efficiently. Introduced exclusively to existing customers over 15 years ago, we now have the experience and capacity to offer Markez ® high temperature o-rings and high pressure o-rings to the world.
