Propane is a hydrocarbon gas, also known as C3H8, that is commonly used in residential and commercial applications as a fuel source. It is also used as a propellant in aerosol cans.
When rubber is exposed to propane, it can cause the rubber to swell and become brittle. This can lead to cracking, hardening, and discoloration. Additionally, propane can cause the rubber to degrade over time, leading to premature failure of the material. In extreme cases, the rubber may even be completely destroyed.
