Producer gas is a combustible gas made from a mixture of air and combustible fuel. It is also known as synthesis gas, synthetic gas, water gas, or blue gas. This gas is commonly used in industrial applications such as combustion engines, heaters, and furnaces.
When rubber is exposed to producer gas, it can lead to cracking, swelling, and discoloration. The rubber material may also become brittle and harden, leading to a loss of flexibility and elasticity. In extreme cases, the rubber may even be completely destroyed. Additionally, exposure to producer gas can cause the rubber to degrade over time, leading to premature failure of the material.
