PRESTONE Antifreeze is also known as PRL0High Temp and Hydraulic Oil. It is a common chemical used in a variety of industries, including automotive and industrial applications. It is used for cooling and lubrication purposes, as well as for protection against freezing and corrosion.
When rubber is exposed to Prestone Antifreeze, the rubber can experience swelling, hardening, cracking, and loss of elasticity. In extreme cases, the rubber can become brittle and disintegrate. Additionally, if the rubber is not compatible with the antifreeze, it can cause the rubber to break down and deteriorate.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
