Plating Solution - Commonly known as silver solder, silver plating solution is used in the industry of metalworking to deposit a layer of silver onto the surface of another metal. It is also used in the electronics and automotive industries to create corrosion-resistant surfaces.
Common types of failures when rubber is exposed to Plating Solution include cracking, discoloration, and swelling. The plating solution can cause the rubber to become brittle, resulting in cracking and tearing over time. Additionally, the rubber will become discolored due to a reaction with the plating solution. Swelling can occur due to the absorption of the plating solution, leading to deformation and a weakened bond between the rubber and the surface it is bonded to.
