Nickel Sulfate, also known as Nickel Sulphate is a chemical compound commonly used in electroplating and as a fertilizer. Nickel Sulfate is highly soluble in water, making it a popular choice for many industrial applications.
When rubber is exposed to Nickel Sulfate, it can cause a number of failures including cracking, swelling and discoloration. The same mechanisms as with Nickel Nitrate apply, with the rubber swelling and then cracking due to the pressure. Additionally, Nickel Sulfate can be corrosive to rubber, causing it to degrade over time.
