NAFTOLEN ZD is also known as myristyl alcohol or lauryl alcohol. This chemical is a colorless liquid that is used as an emulsifier, surfactant, and conditioning agent in a variety of industries, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage production.
When rubber is exposed to myristyl alcohol, it can lead to swelling, hardening, or changes in the material's physical properties. This can cause deterioration of the rubber's strength and lead to premature degradation or cracking. In extreme cases, it can cause the rubber to become brittle and eventually fail.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
