Motor oil is a lubricant used in motorized vehicles to reduce friction and wear between moving engine components. It is also known as engine oil, motor fluid, or engine lubricant. Motor oil is commonly used in cars, motorcycles, boats, and other motorized vehicles.
When rubber is exposed to motor oil, it can cause swelling, cracking, and deterioration of the material. This is due to motor oil's ability to act as a solvent, which can lead to the breakdown of the rubber's molecular bonds and ultimately to the degradation of the rubber material. Additionally, due to its high viscosity, motor oil can cause an increased level of abrasion on the rubber's surface, leading to further deterioration.
