MONOBROMOTOLUENE Resistant O-Rings and Seals
Monobromotoluene, also known as Bromotoluene, is a chemical compound used as a solvent for oil and grease. It is also used in the production of organic chemicals, fuels, and dyes.
When rubber is exposed to Monobromotoluene, the rubber may swell or become brittle due to the chemical reaction. It may also become discolored or brittle due to the chemical's reaction with the rubber. Over time, the rubber may become cracked, hardened, or corroded due to the chemicals, leading to premature failure or complete failure of the rubber seal. It is important to use rubber that is compatible with Monobromotoluene in order to prevent failure.
