MOBILOIL SAE 20 is a mineral oil based lubricant designed for use in automotive engines. Common names for MOBILOIL SAE 20 include motor oil, engine oil, and automotive oil. MOBILOIL SAE 20 is used in a wide variety of industries and applications, ranging from automotive to industrial.
When rubber is exposed to MOBILOIL SAE 20, it can experience a number of common types of failures. These include swelling, embrittlement, cracking, and breakdown of the rubber material. The lubricant can cause the rubber material to become soft and lose its elasticity and strength over time, leading to a complete loss of function. Additionally, the lubricant can cause the rubber to become brittle and break after exposure to the lubricant, leading to complete failure of the rubber seal. In some cases, the rubber can become permanently distorted from exposure to the lubricant and not function properly.
