MOBIL HF is an oil-based, high-performance hydraulic fluid used for applications requiring high-pressure operation. It is also known as MOBIL SHC or MOBIL DTE7. It is used mainly in applications such as industrial machinery, pumps, compressors, and other industrial machinery.
Exposure of rubber to MOBIL HF can cause accelerated aging, cracking, and swelling of the rubber due to its mineral oil-based composition. Additionally, exposure to this type of oil can also cause a breakdown of rubber's protective barrier, leading to further deterioration. It is important to note that some rubber materials, such as neoprene and nitrile, are more resistant to MOBIL HF compared to others, such as natural rubber and silicone.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
