MIL0L015017 Resistant O-Rings and Seals
For MIL0L015017, also known as Silicone Oil, it is commonly used for lubrication, waterproofing, and as a heat transfer fluid. It is used in many industries such as automotive, medical, and aerospace.
When rubber is exposed to silicone oil, it can cause swelling, cracking and hardening of the rubber. This is due to the oil penetrating the rubber material and causing damage to the rubber's elasticity and strength. In extreme cases, the damage can be irreversible and cause a complete breakdown of the rubber material.
