MIL-H-046170 (also known as Nitrile rubber) is a high-performance elastomer that is commonly used in a variety of industries including aerospace, medical, and automotive. It is resistant to oil, fuel, and other hydrocarbon-based fluids. Its temperature range is from -65°F to +275°F.
When rubber is exposed to MIL-H-046170, it can degrade due to the hydrocarbon-based fluids and other chemicals. This can lead to cracks, swelling, and other forms of physical and chemical degradation. Additionally, prolonged exposure can cause the rubber to become brittle and easily break.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
