MIL0H046170 015°F TO +400°F Resistant O-Rings and Seals

MIL0H046170 is commonly known as Silicone rubber and is a type of synthetic rubber. It is used in a variety of applications due to its extreme temperature resistance and its ability to remain flexible and durable in temperatures ranging from -115°F to +400°F. Common uses include seals, gaskets, tubing, and vibration dampening.

When rubber materials are exposed to MIL0H046170, they are susceptible to cracking and hardening. Cracking occurs when the rubber becomes brittle due to the chemical, resulting in the formation of cracks or small holes. Hardening occurs when the rubber becomes harder and more rigid due to the chemical. Additionally, due to its high temperature resistance, Silicone rubber is also susceptible to degradation from prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
