MIL-0G05572 is a type of mineral oil used in rubber and plastic applications. It is a colorless, odorless, and relatively non-toxic oil that is commonly used in the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries.
When rubber is exposed to MIL-0G05572, it can suffer from a variety of issues such as swelling, discoloration, or embrittlement. Swelling can occur as the mineral oil penetrates the rubber and causes it to expand. Discoloration can also occur as the rubber reacts with the MIL-0G05572. Finally, the rubber can become brittle and prone to cracking or tearing due to the chemical action of the mineral oil.
