MIL0G025760 is also known as ethylene glycol (EG). It is a colorless, odorless, and sweet-tasting liquid that is used as a coolant in automobiles, as well as an industrial solvent and antifreeze.
When rubber is exposed to ethylene glycol, it can cause swelling, discoloration, and a decrease in elasticity. This is due to the fact that EG is hygroscopic, meaning it can absorb water from the surrounding environment and cause the rubber to swell. Additionally, EG can react with rubber additives and cause them to degrade, leading to further cracking and discoloration.
