MIL0G025537 is also known as neopentyl glycol (NPG). It is a clear, colorless, and odorless liquid that is used as a solvent in paints, varnishes and inks, as well as in the production of plasticizers and lubricants.
When rubber is exposed to neopentyl glycol, it can cause a variety of problems, such as swelling, cracking, and discoloration. This is due to the fact that NPG is a solvent, meaning it can penetrate rubber and reduce its hardness and elasticity. Additionally, NPG can interact with rubber additives and cause them to degrade, leading to further cracking and discoloration.
