MIL0G015793 is a polyurethane-based material which is used for a variety of applications, including sealing in industrial and aerospace applications. It is also known as polyurethane foam or polyurethane rubber. Common uses include insulation, cushioning, sound dampening, and shock absorption.
When exposed to MIL0G015793, rubber materials may experience swelling, softening, cracking, and discoloration due to chemical breakdown. Additionally, the material may become brittle and unable to withstand the pressure of a seal. In extreme cases, the rubber may crack or break. It is important to consider the environment the rubber is exposed to when selecting a rubber material for use with MIL0G015793.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
