MIL-PRF-082522 is a type of synthetic rubber that is commonly used in aerospace and military applications. It is also known as Butyl rubber, Isobutylene-isoprene rubber, and IIR. MIL-PRF-082522 has excellent resistance to weathering and abrasion, as well as excellent noise dampening and vibration dampening properties.
MIL-PRF-082522 is susceptible to failure when exposed to certain chemicals. Common types of failure include swelling, cracking, and discoloration. These failures can be caused by a variety of solvents, acids, and bases. MIL-PRF-082522 can be particularly vulnerable to strong acids and bases, such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and sodium hydroxide.
