LIGHT GREASE Resistant O-Rings and Seals
Light grease, also known as petroleum jelly or petroleum distillates, is a semi-solid lubricant used in many industries such as automotive, industrial, and even medical. Its primary use is to reduce friction and wear of machinery parts.
When rubber is exposed to light grease, the grease can cause the rubber to swell and soften. This can cause seals to become loose, leading to leaks and other issues. The rubber can also become brittle and crack over time, which can lead to further seal failure.
