JP09 Resistant O-Rings and Seals
JP09, also known as Cyclohexasiloxane, is a type of silicone typically used as a lubricant, a de-foaming agent, and a surfactant. It is commonly used in cosmetics, hair products, and other personal care items.
When rubber is exposed to JP09, the rubber can become brittle, lose its elasticity, and become discolored. Additionally, the chemical can cause swelling and cracking of the rubber, and can lead to a decrease in the strength of the rubber. It is important to ensure that the rubber material is compatible with the chemical before use.
