INDUSTRON FF48 is a synthetic rubber polymer used in the production of industrial seals, gaskets, and other components. It is also referred to as neoprene or polychloroprene and is commonly used in the automotive, marine, and aerospace industries. When exposed to certain chemicals, INDUSTRON FF48 can experience accelerated degradation from ozone, oxidation, and hydrolysis. This can lead to cracking, loss of elasticity, and hardening of the rubber, resulting in eventual failure of the rubber seal or component.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
