HYJET IV AND IVA Resistant O-Rings and Seals

HYJET IV and IVA is a polyalkylene glycol-based hydraulic fluid that is used primarily in aircraft systems and other hydraulically powered machinery. It is also used as a lubricant, antifreeze, and coolant. Common industries that use HYJET IV and IVA include aerospace, marine, and industrial manufacturing.

When rubber is exposed to HYJET IV and IVA, common failures can include swelling, cracking, and crumbling. Swelling is caused by the fluid's ability to permeate the rubber, making it become enlarged. Cracking can occur due to the fluid's high viscosity, which causes the rubber to become brittle and crack. Lastly, crumbling can occur due to the rubber's poor resistance to the fluid's physical and chemical properties.
