HYDRAULIC FLUIDS, OIL0IN0WATER EMULSIONS HFA, also known as Houghtosafe HFA, is a type of oil-in-water emulsion used in industrial hydraulic systems. It is composed of a blend of mineral oils and water, and is designed to provide superior protection against wear and corrosion. It is commonly used in a variety of industries, such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing.
When rubber is exposed to HYDRAULIC FLUIDS, OIL0IN0WATER EMULSIONS HFA, the rubber can become brittle and crack due to the chemical properties of the fluid. The rubber may also become deformed and lose its elasticity over time. The rubber can also become porous and degrade due to the fluid, leading to premature failure of the rubber. It is important to use the correct type of rubber material for applications involving this fluid to ensure proper performance and longevity.
Buna-N o-rings also referred to as NBR o-rings and Nitrile o-rings are the most widely used o-ring material in the word because of low cost, good mechanical performance with resistance to water, most basic oils, lubricants and some fuels, many pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and the default choice for basic applications. Buna-N o-rings are not recommended for exposure to sunlight, UV light, ozone and general outdoor weathering or hash chemicals, acids, keytones and many others.
