FURYL CARBINOL, also known as FYRQUEL 150, 220, 300, 550, is a chemical commonly used in the production of plasticizers, flame retardants, and lubricants. It can also be used in the manufacture of rubber products, such as hoses and gaskets.
When rubber is exposed to FURYL CARBINOL, it can cause swelling, softening, and an increase in permeability. This can lead to cracking, hardening, and reduced strength of the rubber, resulting in premature failure of the rubber product. Additionally, organic compounds in FURYL CARBINOL may react with the rubber molecules, leading to further weakening and degradation of the rubber.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
