FC MF, also known as Fluorotelomer Chloride, is a colorless liquid used in a variety of applications, including as a lubricant, antifoaming agent, and surfactant. It is commonly used in the automotive and industrial sectors, as well as in consumer products such as stain repellants and fire retardants.
When rubber is exposed to Fluorotelomer Chloride, it can suffer from a number of common failures, including cracking, swelling, embrittlement, and loss of elasticity. These failures can be caused by direct contact with the chemical, or by the chemical being absorbed into the rubber material. In extreme cases, exposure to Fluorotelomer Chloride can lead to complete disintegration of rubber components.
