FC K0152A is also known as Carboxylic Acid Fluoro-Copolymer and is widely used in various industries, such as automotive, aerospace, medical, and chemical processing. It is a specialty material used for a variety of applications, including seals, gaskets, O-rings, and other components.
When rubber is exposed to Carboxylic Acid Fluoro-Copolymer, it may experience a variety of failures, such as swelling, discoloration, cracking, and hardening. Swelling can cause rubber seals to lose their seal integrity and crack or harden due to the breakdown of the elastomeric polymers. Discoloration can also occur, which can lead to a loss of strength and flexibility of the rubber. Additionally, the material may become brittle, reducing its ability to withstand pressure and temperature.
Buna-N o-rings also referred to as NBR o-rings and Nitrile o-rings are the most widely used o-ring material in the word because of low cost, good mechanical performance with resistance to water, most basic oils, lubricants and some fuels, many pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and the default choice for basic applications. Buna-N o-rings are not recommended for exposure to sunlight, UV light, ozone and general outdoor weathering or hash chemicals, acids, keytones and many others.
