DTE 20 SERIES, also known as mineral oil, is a type of petroleum-based lubricant commonly used in industrial machinery and automotive applications. It is used to create a thin film between moving parts, reducing friction and wear. It is also used to reduce corrosion of metals and other materials.
When rubber materials are exposed to DTE 20 SERIES, the most common type of failure is swelling and softening of the rubber. This can lead to the rubber losing its shape and becoming too flexible to seal properly. Additionally, DTE 20 SERIES can cause the rubber to become brittle and crack, resulting in leaks.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
