DOW CORNING 1265 Fluorosilicone Fluid is a type of silicone fluid commonly used in aerospace and automotive applications. It is also known as FSL-1265 and is used for lubrication, heat transfer, and insulation.
When exposed to certain chemicals, fluorosilicone rubber can suffer from swelling and hardening, leading to cracking and eventual failure. It is particularly susceptible to swelling and hardening when exposed to petroleum-based fluids and alcohols, which can cause the rubber to swell and harden, resulting in premature failure. Additionally, exposure to acids can lead to discoloration, softening, and swelling of the rubber.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
