DELVAC 1100, 1110, 1120, and 1130 are a series of heavy-duty engine oils designed for use in diesel engines. These oils are formulated with a combination of synthetic and conventional base oils and additives that provide improved performance and protection for high-output diesel engines. Common uses of DELVAC oils include lubricating the engine components and providing a seal between moving parts, as well as providing corrosion protection and reducing engine wear.
When exposed to DELVAC oils, rubber materials can experience softening, swelling, and chemical attack. Softening of the rubber material can occur due to the leaching of plasticizers, resulting in a decrease in the rubber's hardness and a decrease in its ability to resist abrasion. Swelling of the rubber material can occur due to the presence of hydrocarbons in the oil, resulting in an increase in volume and a decrease in tensile strength. Chemical attack of the rubber material can occur due to the presence of oxygenated compounds in the oil, which can cause degradation of the rubber material due to oxidation.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
