CITY SERVICE 65, 120, and 250 are trade names for a group of mineral oils used in industrial applications such as machinery lubricants and hydraulic fluids. Common applications include automotive, manufacturing, construction, and agricultural equipment.
When rubber is exposed to CITY SERVICE 65, 120, and 250, the oil can cause the rubber to swell, leading to poor sealing performance and potential failure of the rubber part. Additionally, the oil can cause the rubber to become brittle and crack, leading to further deterioration. In some cases, the oil can cause the rubber to degrade prematurely due to accelerated oxidation, as well as surface damage due to the oil's reactive nature. Additionally, the oil can cause the rubber to become discolored due to the oil's corrosive properties.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
