Chloro Oxyfluorides, also known as Freons, are a family of chlorofluorocarbon compounds that are used in a variety of industrial and consumer applications. They are most commonly used as refrigerants, aerosol propellants, and foam-blowing agents. When rubber is exposed to chloro oxyfluorides, it can cause the rubber to become brittle and crack, as well as swell and degrade. The chemical can also corrode rubber, leading to seal failures or weakened seals. Additionally, chloro oxyfluorides can cause rubber to become discolored or stained if it is not properly protected.
