Chloranthraquinone is also known as Chloramine or Chloroquinone and is commonly used as a dyes in textiles, plastics and paper manufacturing. It is also used as a disinfectant in swimming pools and as a bleaching agent in the food industry.
When rubber is exposed to Chloramine, the rubber material can suffer from swelling, cracking and discoloration. In some cases, the rubber may be completely degraded due to the presence of Chloramine. In addition, the rubber may become brittle and break down over time leading to premature failure.
