CELLUGUARD is an aqueous-based, non-toxic, non-flammable, and non-corrosive water-soluble lubricant. Common uses of CELLUGUARD include lubrication of rubber seals, gaskets, and O-rings in various industrial applications, such as automotive, electrical, and plumbing. Common types of rubber that may fail when exposed to CELLUGUARD include natural rubber, nitrile rubber, and butyl rubber. Natural rubber can become brittle and crack due to the lubricant, while nitrile rubber can swell and soften, and butyl rubber can become brittle and lose its seal integrity.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
