BRAYCO 885 is a petroleum-based hydrocarbon elastomer commonly used for automotive, industrial, and aerospace applications. It is known for its excellent resistance to heat and chemicals, and is used for seals, gaskets, and O-rings.
When exposed to BRAYCO 885, rubber can suffer from swelling and softening due to the presence of volatile organic compounds and other chemicals. Additionally, the presence of oxygen in the atmosphere can cause oxidation of the rubber, leading to brittleness and cracking. Over-exposure to UV rays can also cause the rubber to degrade, resulting in a decrease in the physical properties of the material.
Viton ® o-rings from Marco Rubber offer excellent compatibility with a range of chemicals, oils and resist high temperatures up to 400F. Viton ® is also known as FKM made of fluoroelastomer one of the most versatile and widely used sealing materials.
