Aminomethane is also known as methyl amine, monomethylamine, or dimethyl amine. It is commonly used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, dyes, and plastics. It is also used in some agricultural and industrial processes.
When rubber is exposed to aminomethane, it can cause swelling, oxidation, and cracking of the material. The rubber can also become brittle, leading to further degradation and eventual failure. Additionally, the chemical can cause the rubber to become more brittle over time, resulting in a reduction of the rubber's strength and elasticity.
