AMBREX 33, also known as 2-ethyl-1-hexanol, is a common solvent used in the printing and textile industries. It is also used as a flavoring agent in certain food products. When rubber is exposed to AMBREX 33, it can cause rapid oxidation and degradation of the rubber material. The chemical reaction can cause the rubber to become brittle, leading to cracking and eventual failure of the rubber.
