Oil-containing AIR, also known as hydrocarbon-containing AIR, is a mixture of hydrocarbons and other gases found in the atmosphere. It is commonly used in the automotive, chemical, and manufacturing industries.
When rubber is exposed to oil-containing AIR, it can suffer from a number of different types of failure, such as rapid swelling, loss of strength and elasticity, and premature cracking. These failures occur due to the combination of the oil and the air, which can cause the rubber to swell and become porous. Additionally, the presence of oil in the air can cause the rubber to become stiff and brittle, leading to cracks and other forms of failure.
