ACETIC ALDEHYDE Resistant O-Rings and Seals
Acetic Aldehyde, also known as Acetaldehyde, is a volatile, colorless liquid with a pungent, fruity odor. It is used in the production of various products such as plastics, dyes, pharmaceuticals, and flavO-Rings. It is also used as a preservative and has a wide range of applications in the food and beverage industry.
When rubber is exposed to Acetic Aldehyde, the rubber can become brittle and crack due to the aldehyde's corrosive properties. The rubber may also swell, causing it to become deformed and lose its elasticity. Additionally, the aldehyde may cause the rubber to become discolored due to chemical reactions with the rubber's polymer components.
