LEAD CHLORIDE Resistant O-Rings and Seals

Lead Chloride, also known as Plumbous Chloride, is a chemical compound commonly used in industries such as metal plating, fertilizers, and water treatment. It is also used as a pigment in ceramics, plastics, and rubber.

When rubber is exposed to Lead Chloride, it can suffer from a variety of failures. The rubber can become brittle and suffer from cracking or tearing. This is due to the Lead Chloride reacting with the rubber and causing it to break down. Additionally, the rubber may discolor and the surface may become rough as a result of the reaction. Lead Chloride is also known to be corrosive to certain rubber materials, and if left in contact with rubber for too long, it can cause the rubber to degrade and become brittle. Additionally, exposure to Lead Chloride can lead to the rubber becoming more susceptible to oxidation, leading to further damage.
