DIISOBUTYL KETONE Resistant O-Rings and Seals
DIISOBUTYL KETONE (DIBK) is also known as Isobutyl Ketone and 2,4-Dimethyl-3-Pentanone. It is most commonly used as a solvent in various industries, such as the paint and coating, printing, and adhesives industries.
When rubber is exposed to DIBK, it can cause swelling, softening, and other issues. DIBK can also cause rubber to become brittle, leading to cracking and other forms of failure. Furthermore, DIBK can cause rubber to become sticky, leading to leakage and other problems. In general, it is best to keep rubber away from DIBK and other chemicals as much as possible.
